Prices exclude VAT and depend on boat length. A season plan runs 1 May to 31 October. A full-year plan runs twelve months and costs 10% less than two seasons. Parts, materials, yard fees and berthing are always extra.

Choosing a plan opens the enquiry form with your plan and boat length filled in. Nothing is charged; we confirm the price, start date and how to pay by email.

Inside a care visit

A washdown, then eight things we look at, photographed in this order.

  • Lines, fenders and chafeMooring lines looked over where they rub, fenders in the right place for the forecast. Anything worn is photographed and quoted.
  • Covers and canvasChecked for pooling water and worn stitching. A cover holding water is worse than no cover at all.
  • Deck, hatches and sealsWashed down with fresh water, then looked over: hatches and windows for signs of leaks, teak for lifted seams, drains for blockages.
  • BilgesA look in the bilges: dry or not, and whether the level has changed since the last visit.
  • Batteries and chargingShore power connected, charger on, terminals clean. Whatever the battery monitor shows is photographed.
  • Seacocks and hosesSeacocks (the valves that let seawater in and out) and hoses looked at for corrosion, weeping and loose clips.
  • Engine bayA look for leaks, loose belts and anything out of place. Running the engines is an optional extra.
  • Hull and waterlineGrowth at the waterline, seen from the pontoon. Anodes (the sacrificial metal that protects the prop and shaft) and the prop are checked at each haul-out.

Anything that needs work is photographed, quoted and sent to you the same day. Nothing is fixed without your approval.

Add-ons

Extras, on any plan.

Priced per job or per visit. Tell us what you need and we will quote it.

  • Pre-arrival preparation

Boat cleaned, fridges on, water and fuel checked before you land.

  • Post-trip clean-up

Washdown, laundry, waste off, systems shut down.

  • Key holding

We hold a set so contractors and surveyors can be let on board.

  • Engine runs during lay-up

Engines and generator run and checked through the winter.

  • Dehumidifier & ventilation checks

Damp kept down below while the boat is closed up.

  • Detailing & polishing

Hull, stainless and teak brought back before the season.

Questions

Before you sign up.

What does a care visit include?

A washdown with fresh water, then a visual check from bow to stern: lines and fenders, covers, deck and hatches, bilges, batteries and charging, seacocks and hoses, the engine bay and the waterline. You get the photos the same day. If you ask us to come and look at a problem, that counts as one of the month’s visits.

Do unused visits roll over?

No, visits are per month. If you will be away, tell us early and we will move the visit within the month.

Does the discount apply to labour, parts or both?

Labour only. Parts and materials are itemised separately, with the supplier invoice shown on request.

What does response time actually mean?

The time from your report reaching us to a technician being on board, or to a written plan if the boat cannot be reached. On Gold that is 4 hours, on Silver 48 hours, on Bronze 3 working days. It is not a promise that the repair is finished in that time — parts and yard slots take as long as they take, and we tell you when we quote.

How do emergencies work?

Gold customers get a 24/7 number that reaches Stephen. We attend, make the boat safe, send photos, and only then quote the repair. Emergency call-outs are included up to the number of care visits in your plan each month (three on Gold). Beyond that, a call-out fee of €50 in office hours or €90 outside them applies, excluding VAT, plus the work itself, quoted as usual.

How long is a plan, and can I cancel?

A season plan runs 1 May to 31 October. A full-year plan runs twelve months. Both are paid up front and are not refunded part-way. If you sell the boat, you can transfer the remaining term to the new owner.

What is not included?

Parts and materials, haul-out and yard fees, berthing, insurance, and any repair work itself — those are quoted job by job. The plan covers the visits, the reporting, the response time and the discount.
