1. What a care plan is
A care plan covers one named boat for a season (1 May to 31 October) or for a full year, paid in advance. It includes a number of care visits on request, a photo report after each visit, a repair response time, and a discount on our labour. It does not cover the cost of repairs, parts, yard fees or berthing.
2. Plans
- Bronze: up to 1 care visit a month, 3 working day repair response, 5% off our labour.
- Silver: up to 2 care visits a month, 48 hour repair response, 7.5% off our labour.
- Gold: up to 3 care visits a month, 4 hour repair response, 24/7 emergency line, a berth check when a storm warning is issued (lines, fenders and covers), 10% off our labour.
3. Care visits
- A care visit is a washdown with fresh water and a visual check that everything is in order: lines, fenders, covers, deck and hatches, bilges, batteries and charging, seacocks and hoses, the engine bay and the waterline. It does not include running engines, operating equipment or dismantling anything.
- A visit you ask for to look at a problem counts as one of the month’s care visits.
- Visits are on request: you tell us when, we confirm a day. Please give us 48 hours’ notice where you can.
- Unused visits do not roll over. If you know you will be away, tell us and we will move the visit.
- Visits do not include repairs. Anything we find is photographed and quoted separately.
4. Response time
Response time is measured from your report reaching us to a technician being on board, or to a written plan if the boat cannot be reached. It is not a promise that the repair is finished in that time. Response times for Bronze and Silver are counted within working hours (Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00). Gold response times apply around the clock.
5. Emergencies (Gold)
Gold customers have a 24/7 number. We attend, make the boat safe, send photos, and then quote the repair. Emergency call-outs are included up to the number of care visits in your plan each month (three on Gold). Beyond that, a call-out fee of €50 inside office hours or €90 outside them applies, excluding VAT, plus the repair itself, which is quoted as usual.
6. Discount
The discount applies to our labour only. Parts and materials are charged at the prices in your quote.
7. Price and billing
- Prices depend on boat length and are shown on the care plans page. Boats of 20 m and over are priced individually.
- Prices exclude VAT, which is added to every invoice. Parts, materials, yard fees and berthing are always extra.
- A season plan covers 1 May to 31 October and is paid in advance by card through Stripe.
- A full-year plan covers twelve months, is paid in advance, and saves 10% against two seasons.
- We may change prices with 30 days’ notice before a renewal; you can cancel before the new price applies.
8. Term and cancellation
- Season and full-year plans run for their full term and are not refundable part-way, but you can transfer the remaining term to the new owner if you sell the boat.
- Payment is due within 7 days of the invoice. Late payment carries the interest and charges set out in our terms of service.
- We may end a plan with one month’s notice, or immediately if payment fails and is not resolved within 14 days.
9. Access and keys
You authorise us to board the boat for care visits and to arrange access with the marina. If we hold keys, they are kept in a locked key safe and tagged by number, not by boat name.
10. Everything else
Our terms of service apply to any repair work quoted under a plan, and our privacy policy explains how we handle your details.
