Hygiene & safety measures on our boats
- Cleaners wearing personal protective equipment will thoroughly clean each boat, paying close attention to high-use areas such as steering and navigation controls, doors and handles, bathrooms and showers, as well as external seats, tables, and controls. They will then disinfect all inside surfaces including floors, curtains, cushions, upholstery, and mattresses with a disinfectant spray that kills all types of bacteria and viruses – including coronavirus.
- All onboard documents (i.e. navigation charts, manuals, etc) will be cleaned with disinfectant wipes between customers.
- Bed linen and towels are washed at high temperatures.
- If any symptoms of Coronovirus are reported by a customer while on holiday, their boat will be deep-cleaned and left for at least 72 hours before next use, in accordance with government and industry guidelines.
Safe behaviour during Covid-19
- Our staff will not report for work if they display symptoms of Coronavirus.
- Our team will exercise social distance practices and will wear gloves and face masks wherever required (i.e. if local government advice stipulates or whenever social distancing measures are difficult to observe – such as during pre-departure briefings).
- Our staff will welcome guests with a smile – but will not offer a handshake – we hope you will understand.
- Our staff will regularly wash their hands and disinfect surfaces where necessary.
- To reduce the amount of time our guests spend in reception and in public areas, we’re asking customers to carry out as many check-in requirements prior to their arrival as possible.
- Government advice about wearing face masks varies by country, and local advice may require you to wear one while in our reception areas or during stays in the harbor areas.
- Captains may impose their own stipulations as well and so you may wish to bring a face mask for everyone in your group.
- Your captain will be required to wear a mask during pre-departure briefings where social distancing measures will be difficult to maintain.
- Guests must not travel on our yachts or visit our outlets if they are displaying coronavirus symptoms.
